Z access Belt Rubbing - no way to adjust
Hello, I just assembled my first MK3S+ printer and the Z Axis Belt is rubbing. No way to adjust pulley any closer to motor. It's completely centered on the other side. What can I do? I was thinking if I put washers in between the motor and the 3d-part it could help but I am thinking the screws are not long enough. Probably needs 2mm minimum or more to clear the front facing wall. You can see the pulley is already adjusted all the way as close as it can be to motor and the belt still hitting the wall. The print quality is amazing but you can see the belt residue. On initial self test it said there was a Z access movement error and I had to adjust the pulley away from the motor a slight amount or it wouldn't print at all. This made the belt issue worse as you can see in the video.

I haven’t seen the video but from the picture it looks like you have the pully on the stepper motor back to front. It’s a really common build mistake. Btw that’s the X axis belt not Z. Z has the lead screws and is the up/down axis.

How tight is your Z belt? It's not easy to see in the video but I *think* it is too loose. When you pluck it you should get a low note like a detuned bass.

Thank you sooooooooooo much! This was the exact problem. I took the motor off and swapped the pulley around the other direction with the thick part facing out. Now I have perfect alignment and no more friction. Thankfully this was a quick fix due to the excellent Prusa design. I always get the the axis wrong, so thanks for the correction. Any way thank you again, I really needed to print and didn't want to wear out the belt further.
