Y axis moves freely going to the front but crashes going to the back. Any ideas?
Hi all!
I've been using my MK3+ for a while now. No issues at all.
Suddenly after fininishing a print I prepare the next one and as soon as it started I noticed something was wrong.
The initial purge was offset and clearly the positioning of everything was off.
I stop and run some calibration. XYZ failed, but after a couple tries it went through.
Belt test, the Y axis moves like 20mm.
Forcing the movement with my hand I can move the plate easily to the front, but it gets stuck when I try to move it to the back.
Any ideas what the issue may be and how to fix it?
I don't thing it's the bearings or forward movement would be affected too.
Thanks in advanced!

It only takes Seconds to lubricate the bearings. See if it helps. Unlubricated bearings can jam in one direction

Weve seen this before if you manually push the bed all the way back does the cable at the back of it hit anything
Please help me out by downloading a model it's free and easy but really helps me out https://www.printables.com/@Hello_474427/models

It does not hit anything at the back. I also checked the zip ties and the rods.
When you try to move the plate backwards you need to apply much more force. It moves, but it feels like going against the flow.

Thanks for your suggestion @joantabb.
How should apply the lubricant? Can you point me to the instructions?
Kind Regards,
Cris

Thanks for your help Joan.
After lubricating the rods and the bearings it's running smoothly again. It seems like the bearings were jammed in one direction as you suggested.

Sometimes simple ideas outweigh logic.
