XYZ calibration failure
I recently had to redo my xyz cal and when I used the wizard the cal failed. Looking in the manual it said that when it was running its initial checks prior to calibration of the 4 end points on the bed to be sure the nozzle went all the way up along the z axis and connected the top of the frame . Well the nozzle stopped about 1.5” from the top but in the manual it didn’t explain how to fix this. How do I go about that?
I’ve had the printer for almost 2 years and have done hundreds of prints. The reason I had to redo the xyz cal was that I inadvertently started a print without the metal bed squarely on the mesh bed and the nozzle started to bang against the bed before registering a fault which stopped everything.
RE: XYZ calibration failure
I had a similar problem and it was caused by the x-axis motor wire not going through the hole on the electronics case so it was holding the left side of the Z-axis down. I would check that.
RE: XYZ calibration failure
Ok so after a night to sleep on it I tackled this again & managed to solve the issue, complete the xyz cal & then a z cal, printer happily printing away as we speak …
