X axis noise (after breaking a part during installation)
Hi guys,
Recently built my prusa mk3s - so far so good, around 1000+hrs of printing on it, excellent quality.
However, I've been getting some noise on the X axis - see this video:
It only occurs at "high" speeds, eg more than 60mm/s
There's 2 sounds - both coming from the extruder assembly. One sound I can't identify (the loudest), but the one behind sounds like the bearing balls scratching. When I bend the extruder assembly a little with my hand the ball bearings stop making noise.
During installation I broke a part, and was too lazy to fix it. Here's a picture: https://imgur.com/a/WH07NQM
I can't exactly remember but some part holding a nut broke cause I couldn't figure out how to tighten it properly, so I only inserted one of the two bolts.
This means the extruder assembly is slightly bent (see above imgur link).
Until now I haven't considered this a problem (I've worked with way more janky machines, ender 3 modded to hell...), and the printer has been working like a dream - super high quality prints, fast as well.
However, let me know if anyone had this issue - and if it could be bad long-term for the printer.
The noise is no bother,
Cheers
