Strange surface pattern
Hi,
I have a Strange surface patternin my Prints (See Pictures)
Previously, I printed the same model (not gcode) on my 1st gen Ender 3 without any issues.
I tried printing the model with and without octoprint.
Cheers,
Christopher

It looks like your belt tensions are a little suspect - or your smooth rods need lubrication.
Make your next print this:
https://www.prusaprinters.org/prints/46639-tension-meter-for-the-gt2-belts-of-i3-mk3s-or-prus
It MUST be printed in Prusament PETG or the spring tension will be wrong.
The slight moire pattern will go if you slow the print a little - it probably wouldn't show with most filaments but you chose a glossy one.
Cheerio,

Hi,
I didn#t had much time recently, so I now took the chance, to check again.
I printed the belt tension meter, and checked my belt tension.
They are within tolerances.
The pattern is still visible.
Did you try reducing print speed?

So far, I printed, using the pre-sliced GCode of the SD card, which came with the printer, GCode generated by prusa slicer, GCode generated witd Cura 5.2.1.
For all of these prints, I used the Prusa MK3S profiles.
I also printed perfectly working GCode sliced for my ender 3.
All samples showes the same artifacts. (My old Ender 3 printed them without any artifacts).
I assume, you want me to perform a test print witl slower speed for the walls.
Which speed would you recommend?
Cheers,
Christopher

No idea, I never print with those shiny filaments. I would expect any such pattern to change with speed and curvature; and for it to reach a minimum at some point when the printer is not being driven hard.
So: make a change and inspect, iterate and you'll get there.
Cheerio,

For what it’s worth (and I don’t print a lot of PLA so there’s that) when I print any of the silk PLA filaments I raise the nozzle temp quite a bit higher than is typical for PLA.
I recently printed some silk PLA for Christmas gifts and found both Prusament and one other brand printed best with a 230 degree nozzle. I don’t have any experience with another printer so I have no frame of reference, but this temp increase works for me on a MK 3S+.
As a relatively new user, I would defer to @diem as he is far more experienced than me. This is just one more step you can try.
Btw, have you tried printing this model with a non silk filament for comparison?
Cheers
