Unknown issue printing treefrog that came with the printer

Hi,

I'm pretty new to 3d printing so I am not too good at troubleshooting yet.  I checked out the print quality troubleshooting page but none of the pictures looks similar.  Does anyone know what happened to this print?  I tried it twice and it happened both times.  I talking about the rough condition of its back.  It happened on the underside as well.  To me it looks like its not putting the outer layer around the filling but I don't know if that's really the case.

Thank you for your help,

Karl

I agree, it looks like most the perimeters are not printed. This points to some problem with extrusion, like a clogged nozzle or something to do with retraction. Does this happen on all models?

I tried to print buddy just now and it did really good until it got to the top of his head.  And then it started making a weird clicking noise about every 3-5 seconds.  and the top of the head is completely missing.  Its definently a jam or feeder issue at least with this build.  When I try to load filliment it make a god awful racket and doesn't feed any more in.  I can see the gear turning through the window but nothing is going in or coming out.

Then you need to get rid of the jam. And ideally do a cold pull afterwards to make sure everything is clean and free of debris.

I was able to unload and then reload the filament but I'll try the cold pull.  I found the steps on how to do it.  Thanks for the advice.
