Check your belts and your smooth rods.

First, with the power off, move the axis by hand; is is smooth? Does the resistance stay the same over the whole range?

Clean and lubricate the smooth rods, check they are not damaged/scratched. Check the idler pulley is not clogged, out of line, or damaged (loosen the belt and try turning it with your fingertip, is it smooth?)

With the belt loose try turning the stepper motor by hand; is is smooth?

Retighten the belt until it just begins to make a low musical note when plucked...

Make your next print this:

https://www.prusaprinters.org/prints/46639-tension-meter-for-the-gt2-belts-of-i3-mk3s-or-prus

It MUST be printed in Prusament PETG or the spring tension will be wrong.

Let us know how you get on.

The rods seem to have no damage or scratchs. The idler pulley was also fine. The stepper motor was fine as well. The belts may have been slightly loose but nothing major.

I have tightened the belts and am going to try reprinting. The only thing that I can think of is that one of the linear bearings makes a little noise. I put some lube on the bearing  as well.

Uneven Print (Update)

(Update) The tightening the belt may have helped some but overall the print still appears to be the same. One thing I did notice is that the imperfections are mainly occuring in the same spot (at the start and the end of the print (middle seems to be fine)). Not to sure what the next steps are to take. This is a cube that I slice so might be a problem with the way I setup the slicer?

New picture?

Did you print the tension meter?

RE: Uneven Print

As you can see, the sides of the cube are almost perfect. The only places I am seeing these minor issues are at the top and bottom of the print. I am assuming this has something to do with the top and bottom layer being 100% infill? since there are very little errors when its the 15% infill in the center of the print.

Sadly I do not have PETG to print with. I plan to order some soon though!

Looks better. Good enough for a lot of functional printing.

Now try slicing with an extra perimeter

I have the same issue in a completely new prusa Mk3s

I have a similar issue, this seems the inconsistent extrusion problem!

Yes, I think I have fixed this issue but sadly my Hotend thermistor has broken and I wont able to test it until I receive the new one I purchased. I think the problem has to do with the z seam (at least for me) where it was set to random, but like I said, sadly I wont be able to tell you if this works until I receive the thermostat.

I would order a few extra thermistors.  They are insurance against downtime.
