Ugly surface and holes [ABS]
Hi.
Recently, I am the owner of a new Prusa iMK3s+ printer. I'm still learning it and I ran into a problem I can't solve. I print one model on two different printers (Prusa and Ender 3). On the same settings with the same filament (ABS-X). The prints come out completely different. I tried to set different retraction, different temperatures, draft, reduce speed. Did not help.
I am sending illustrative photos and print settings.
.3mf files (Prusa / Ender):
Thank you for your help.

I suspect that your belt tensions need attention but it's a little hard to tell when the filament is damp, please dry it and reprint.
Cheerio,
RE: Ugly surface and holes [ABS]
The filament is definitely not wet. Dried often. And on the Ender I print from the same spool.
The stripes according to the test are in the range of 240 - 300. I will try to get closer to the value of 275 and let you know if anything helped.
I finally got rid of the holes, finding a good retraction, but the problem of the ugly surface of the wall remained.
Very often I also have a clog in the PTFE tube.
If you are certain your filament is dry...
The belt tension figure is a measure of the resistance felt by the stepper when moving the axis. On a correctly set up machine this does equate, roughly, to belt tension.
But other things can affect mechanical resistance.
First, with the power off, move the axis by hand; is it smooth? Does the resistance stay the same over the whole range?
Clean and lubricate the smooth rods, check they are not damaged/scratched. Check the idler pulley is not clogged, out of line, or damaged (loosen the belt and try turning it with your fingertip, is it smooth?)
With the belt loose try turning the stepper motor by hand; is it smooth?
Retighten the belt until it just begins to make a low musical note when plucked...
Make your next print this:
https://www.prusaprinters.org/prints/46639-tension-meter-for-the-gt2-belts-of-i3-mk3s-or-prus
It MUST be printed in Prusament PETG or the spring tension will be wrong.
Let us know how you get on.

Thank you. I will follow these steps and let you know the results.
