Tiny scratch in MK52 bed - don't even know how it happened...
So I noticed today that I have a tiny scratch in the heat bed of my MK3S where the copper shows through. I know it probably doesn't matter and according to support it should be fine (they said cover it with nail polish if needed). It still bothers me though because I cannot remember being careless with this but sometimes it's really hard to gently put the steel sheet down on the bed.
My only theory is that somehow this was caused by the roughness of the finish around the holes of the steel sheet somehow since it's actually visible through one of the holes in the steel sheet.
Has this happened to anyone else? It actually seems to me that it's a rather fragile design considering you're supposed to be putting a steel sheet with some reasonably sharp edges carefully down on something that really wants to pull it down with very strong magnets...

I managed to do this as well, so when SWMBO was not in I used some of her nail lacquer to touch up the scratch, just make sure it's not the GEL type. I suppose you could always UV cure it if it is.
They use lacquer in motors nand transformers to insulate the windings, so it is ideal for a heated bed.
Normal people believe that if it ainât broke, donât fix it. Engineers believe that if it ainât broke, it doesnât have enough features yet.
