Thermal paste for Heatbreak

This subject has been brought up but I don't think I have seen a satisfactory answer. I am in the middle of re-building my V6 Hotend. What kind of Thermal paste is best for assembling the heat break? I would like to avoid choosing a compound that breaks down, carbonizes or glues in place. Any specific kinds or sources? Looking for an educated answer here from all you experts.

I heard back from E3D:

"The thermal paste we use and recommend is this one: https://e3d-online.com/thermal-compound-paste

It contains:

Silicone Compounds 50%
Compounds of carbon: 20%
Metal Oxide Compounds: 30%

In terms of alternatives CPU thermal paste will work perfectly well."

Thanks for the Info.

I used arctic MX-4, because of its good heat transfer capabilities.

Its compounded from:

Methyl Silicone 40-45%
Alumina Oxide >50%
Monocrystaline Diamond 5-10 %

Diamond is probably a expensive way to say Carbon ...and yes there are some cases were does numbers add up to 100%.

So it has more metal and less Carbon

RE: Thermal paste for Heatbreak

I used Arctic MX-4, and it destroyed my heater block, heat break, nozzle and thermistor, when it tried to take it apart, after using it for a while. Total loss 65€.

The issue is that the thermal paste wells everything together, and create an alloy that is weaker.

The same issue was also stating to appear on one of my other printers.
