TEXTURED PEI SHEET FIRST LAYER NOT PERFECT
Goodmorning everyone,
how come it is with the pei smooth and textured surface,
am I having problems with the first layer and the last layer?
instead if I print the g.code prusa I have no problems! the prints are perfect.
RE: TEXTURED PEI SHEET FIRST LAYER NOT PERFECT
Smooth and textured surfaces are different thicknesses, and have a different Z.
Lets start with the first surface on each.
Print a 2" calibration circle or square for smooth and textured and post the pictures.

First Layer Calibration
First tell the firmware which sheet you have mounted (smooth or textured) the last Z setting you set will be stored by the firmware for that sheet.
You need to repeat this process for each different sheet type you use. The physical thickness of the textured sheet is thinner than the smooth sheet.
Never ever mislead the firmware about which sheet is current. That can dig trenches across the sheet - or print in the air.
Hope this helps.
