Simple question on end of print hot end and bed position
I am sure it's just a gcode thing where I need to add some code but I would have thought the sample print suggested (Prusa badge) would have had it right. I just finished building the MK3 kit and after a few other issues with the filament sensor and the updated firmware with a bug I printed the test print badge and dialed in the z and when it finished it left the hotend too close to the bed and on the left side to lift the steel plate to remove the print. I had to pull the bed forward (aftr it cooled) and remove the print with my fingers. What to do to fix this or is it likely a default setting in the slicer and my sliced prints will just automagically work? I am just wondering why Prusas test prints(or at least the default suggested one, don't home the printer after a print.
Thanks

RE: Simple question on end of print hot end and bed position
Hi and thanks for the reply. After I built the MK3 I ran it with the old installed firmware and I was getting filament sensor wiring errors on the wizard to check out the build. I checked and triple checked everything and assumed I got a DOA filament sensor. So I updated the firmware to v 3.13.0. Then I was able to disable the filament sensor to get past that issue and run the first time calibration. But that caused a new issue where I couldn't get past the "Is the filament loaded" prompt. If I said YES it switched to the NO and back and forth but was a dead end. So I found this:
https://github.com/prusa3d/Prusa-Firmware/issues/4300
I downgraded the firmware to version V 3.12.2 as it was the one just prior to the V3.13.0. Then I was able to get where I am now. But I read on the site where the V3.13.0 issue was posted that it has been fixed but I don't know if they changed the version number or where to find it. So are you saying V 3.11 is the best version currently for the MK3 and the newer versions are buggy? Or does anybody know where the fixed latest version can be downloaded?
Thanks

I found they released an upgraded firmware V 3.13.1 on September 5th, so I will install that later today and hope all the bugs have been squashed!
