Re: Problems First Layer

A touch too close? Have you tried calibrating extrusion https://mattshub.com/2017/04/19/extruder-calibration/ before adjusting live z?

Re: Problems First Layer

FYI, I'm far far far from having any experience in 3d printing. I'm still waiting for my first 3d printer. 🙂

Having said that, I think that there are 2 things in that print going on: 1) seam (in the vertical line) and 2) elephant foot (the extra material at the bottom).

For seam issue:
If you are using Slic3r then check this out: http://manual.slic3r.org/expert-mode/fighting-ooze . You might want to change "Seam position" to Random and give it a try.

For elephant foot:
You could modify the 3d model to have a chamfer though this seems like a hack unless you want your design like that. If you are using Slic3r then you can try reducing the first layer width. Lowering the bed temp might help but that might introduce sticking issues.

Or you can just wait for people that know what they are talking about and get their feedback. 😀

Your last picture seems similar to https://shop.prusa3d.com/forum/assembly-and-first-prints-troubleshooting-f62/first-layer-funkiness-t15871.html#p79366 .

Re: Problems First Layer

Keep in mind that these issues are almost always caused by:
1) Too high or low Z level (usually too high)
2) Poor clean bed (even if you think the bed is clean)

Changing the settings in Slic3r only makes the problem worse because the PLA, PETG and ABS printer profiles have been adjusted for a well-calibrated printer.

Re: Problems First Layer

Can you explain that a bit more detailed?
Is the p.i.n.d.a broken, or was it adjusted wrong?
Thats maybe helps others with a similar Problem.

The probe was fine, the screw was the one not working fine, it was letting the probe go up
