Printing speed

Is there any danger to any thing by printing over 100% speed (adjusted from the control panel) other than the obvious issue of possible print artifacts and errors? Does everyone pretty much leave the print speed at 100% or make adjustments to profiles...or both? Thanks in advance!

Re: Printing speed

Hi Brett...

depending what the print is for, I sometimes boost the speed.

typically the finish deteriorates a little...

give it a try, listen to the printer and you will hear the pitch change.

eventually the pitch will stop changing... as you max out one of the firmware limits,

or you will decide that the quality of print has deteriorated too much.

I am running at 150% right now as a test on the Optimal profile, and it shockingly enough looks really good still. Thank you for the info...as usual you are beyond helpful and clear in your answers. Benchy smiles upon you Joan!!
