Print problem: First layer "missing" filament in gaps - in consistent bands on a large flat print

I'm trying to print a large flat print (Razerquest kit card) and there are bands of missing filament on the first layer. Maybe on the second layer. The bands are in the X axis and the "missing" filament is worse on the left side. There are two such bands on this print. There is no stringing over the gaps - it just seems to be missing.Subsequent layers go over top and "dip" into the missing base layer gaps, but the bands are visible  as depression in upper layers  .

All other prints up until this large-ish flat one have been perfect

I checked the slicer first layer and it is "complete". Ditto for the Octoprint Gcode viewer while printing.

Prusa Slicer 2.2.0 / Prusa 3S firmware 1.91. Prusa silver PLA 0.15 layers at 215/60 C.

I also didn't find a similar problem in these forums - but there is a lot of stuff here to search thru!

PS - Also note the offset image Octoprint Gcode Viewer - but the print actually prints in the middle of the bed. Different issue, but just pointing it out.

The following image is taken from the rear right corner of the print (had an adhesion problem with this print and stopped it):

if you mean the diagonal areas of first layer  that have not printed, this looks like the sequence that older slicers  segment the layer based on changes in geometry,  in this case I have No idea why parts of first layer are missing!
if you mean the two stripes, parallel to the build plate front edge, and located roughly 100mm apart... are your left hand side Y axis bearing Ubolts catching on something? that could lift the heatbed and cause live Z to fail in lines across the build plate  that are worse on the left side than the right side...  perhaps they are snagging the main frame for some reason...
what does the first layer look like in slicer gcode preview?
have you tried Monotonous infill in Prusa Slicer 2.3.0 beta2

Is your bed size set to 200x200mm in Octoprint?  it needs to be 250x210mm

@joantabb

Thanks for the hint! After the print was done I manually started moving the bed back and forth. I found it caught slightly in two spots. The cause was two tie wraps completely around the lower left frame rail that were part my cable management installation (see PS below). This caused the bed to raise slightly the U bolts as they went over top of the cable tie - this likely squeezed nozzle just enough to cut off the flow but not enough to crash the print head.

So cable ties are gone an on to print 2 of the same! Done the first couple of perimeters and no missing filament!

Thanks again - muchly appreciated 🙂

PS I went back and don't see those cable ties in the instructions step 18/19 of cable management" - so I probably added them "to be safe"

Sounds like an Own Goal...

Glad I could help find a solution

@joantabb

BTW yes my print volume was set incorrectly in Octoprint. I remember guessing when I set it up and forgot to go back to it... 🙂
