PLA get stuck - PFTE / Nozzle change no success

Hi makers,

I have worked with my Prusa Mk3s since months now with no major issues. But the situation changed. I had several issues with a clogged nozzle and the following issues with the transport clicking not being able to transport anymore. I have changed the nozzle and the PFTE tube, but with just minor success. Attached some pictures... Any clue or tip to follow? FW 3.7.1 was also installed today. I have the feeling, that there is still some issue with material transport, but not sure.

It looks like your Live-Z adjustment is way too close to the bed. Filament can't be properly extruded, which leads to back-pressure in the hotend, which leads to the extruder clicking when it can't feed filament. If you have not already done so, try using Jeff Jordan's "Life Adjust" procedure for calibrating your Live-Z setting. It is much easier to use and understand than the on-board routine. In general, start high (less negative) and work lower (more negative) in large increments (e.g. 0.1mm) until the filament starts to stick on its own. When it's right, you should be able to gently rub it without it coming loose. Then start lowering (more negative) the level until there are no gaps between layers. When you've got your Live-Z setting adjusted properly, you should be able to gently rub the extruded lines without dislodging them.

I've had similar jams due to dust and debris collecting in the heat break. Eventually stopping filament flow.  As a lark, I had removed the nozzle for inspection and blasted canned air up and down through the heat break not expecting much and was greeted with a cloud of dust. This cleared the gunk that had collected and I was again able to print.  Later, on certain complex prints, the jams came back, and I traced it back to the heat break design.

Next time it jams, unload the filament, snap a photo of the end of the filament and post. Be sure to set Link To Media File before pressing Insert ...

Hi,

that was the issue. Thanks a lot for your support. The square method worked perfectly and the prints are very good now.

Again, thanks a lot!
