Perks of First Print | Mounted The Kit / Getting this Printing Error
Hi dear community,
I recently finished assembling the mk3s kit and I am very excited to get my first print now.
I did the self test steps all good but when it comes to starting a print of a certain design my printer always asks me to unload filament I do that, I load it back and again gives the same error when I want to do a design.
Here is a video of what happens: https://www.dropbox.com/s/u4jmdeghc5ie858/20190325_084452.mp4?dl=0
Any tips/tricks you think I should take the extruder off and mount it again, I was so excited to get my first print ready but now I am getting this message over and over I tried different print designs same thing unload/load and back again.
Thank you all for your support

Sounds like the filament detection sensor is not working properly. There could be several reasons from the lever being too tight, the magnets not aligned correctly, the sensor being plugged into the wrong spot on the EINSY board, or other possibilities. Check the connector on the EINSY board first to see if that is correct. It is the simplest thing without needing to take anything apart.
If it is plugged into the correct spot, turn off the filament sensor through the menu. This will at least get you past where it is failing now so you can test the rest of the printer. Knowing everything else works, you can then go back to checking that the sensor is installed correctly in the extruder.

Check also that the plug for the filament sensor is oriented the correct way - it is easy to reverse if you are not paying attention. Check on both ends against the photos in the manual.

Switch off the filament sensor in menu, make your first print. Once you are happy and excited, solve to sensor issue. At least you will know sensor is really the reason 😉
