PEI sheet lifted off bed after removing print

Finished one of my first prints on the MK3S. When the print was finished, I lifted the magnetic steel sheet and flexed it slightly to remove the print. When I looked at the steel sheet and run my hand across it, I feel a deformation, as though the PEI sheet lifted off the steel in the shape of the print. Now there is a bump where the print was adhered when I feel it with my fingers. You can even see the little bubbles that formed.

Any thought or ideas on how to remedy this, because the print surface is no longer smooth/level in those places?

You can see the snake like shape in the images.

If you pull a part when the sheet and part are still warm, this will happen. Fortunately, the problem self heals most of the time. Flip the sheet to the unused side to speed the healing process.

If you were printing PET, you should read up on how to reduce adhesion using Windex or the glue stick provided.

If I get in a hurry, I stick the sheet with the part into the freezer for a few minutes. Parts pop off much easier, but it probably changes strength of material a bit. But if that is important, an anneal is needed anyway.

I just place my warm sheet on a piece of granite countertop. Cools down quick, but not too quick, and parts pop right off in short order.

I had this happen once when I did not allow it to cool completely. Never has happened to me if I let the bed cool first.

I forgot to mention that part and sheet were cold when I removed it. The print has finished overnight and sat for a few hours before being removed. Also I was printing PLA.

It remains that the sheet is behaving normally. Removing a part that sticks well sometimes lifts the PEI from the steel, exposing air bubbles in the space that is created. In time, the bubbles get reabsorbed into the adhesive and the sheet returns to normal.
