MK2 -> MK3S+ Which parts to use?
Hi, I'm finally upgrading my MK2 to the latest goodies -- ordered upgrade on the last day possible - 12/31 (coming this week).
I printed out all the MK3 parts about 18 months ago (when I was first going to do this), but I'm guessing those are now trash? I'm currently printing all the MK3S+ upgrade parts now, from the MK3.
So is this going to be a problem? Will the instructions cover older machines like mine?
Thx!
RE: MK2 -> MK3S+ Which parts to use?
The instructions go from Mk3 to Mk3s+, so I think you’ll have to check to see what you need to upgrade to get from the Mk2 to Mk3 first.
The Mk3 to Mk3s+ replaces the extruder completely other than the back that mounts to the bearings... so it’s likely you may need to replace this part from your older upgrade parts.
RE: MK2 -> MK3S+ Which parts to use?
I have the same question. I received my Mk2 to Mk3S kit today and it included some parts for the Mk3S+ (SuperPINDA, IR filament sensor, etc) but it did not include the bearing clips for the Y-Axis so I'm wondering which parts to print out for the upgrade, and which guide to follow. I feel like I'm stuck somewhere between a Mk3S and a Mk3S+ with the parts I received.
Should I print the extruder parts from the Mk3S+ upgrade and the regular parts for the Mk3S and then follow the Mk3S+ assembly instructions?
