Loosening the Heater Cartridge

Is there an official way to loosen the Heater Cartridge? The screw pulling the channel closed seems incredibly difficult to release.

I've got an issue where my Heater Cartridge is gradually migrating out of the heater block, likely due to the cables not having enough slack. Having addressed the cable slack issue, I'd like to recenter the Cartridge and I cannot get it loose enough to push it back in without risking damage to the cables.

Thanks in advance to anyone who might have an answer.

It may be stuck in place with melted filament,

find a thin broad bladed implement that will fit in the slot in the heat block,

remove the part fan shroud,
heat the hot end for PLA. Loosen the Clamp screw,
gently wedge the blade in the gap to loosen the cartridge...
reset the heater position
BE CAREFUL NOT TO BEND THE HEATBREAK

THEN REMOVE THE BLADE, RE TIGHTEN THE CLAMP...
might be a good time to check the thermister screw is firm too

Many thanks for inspiring enough confidence to put a lot of force into it. I was on the right path but the resistance I was experiencing made me second guess myself.

Operation successful!
