live z petg
Im trying to set my live z for petg printing My 75x75mm x 0.2 sheet keeps ripping when I try to remove it print temps are 245hotend and 85 bed any ideas I've already lowered my live z by 10 from my pla live z .
Re: live z petg
If you are tearing the print, you need to raise (make less negative) your live-z adjustment. Try raising it by 0.02mm until it clears the print without tearing, then raise it more gradually.

^^ yes.
I have been switching back and forth between PLA and PETG over the last few weeks without having to make a live Z change only because I iterated on what works best and finally set a different printer profile to use when I run PETG. In that profile I have a Z offset of +0.015. This is a pretty small difference and this may be due to the fact my PLA prints are set to come off the bed quite easily with very little force. If you have been squishing the PLA down more than I have then this difference will be larger for you.
I think that PLA has a pretty wide success range for height and PETG has a very narrow one.
Also are you putting down Windex (or similar) or glue or something else as a release agent for PETG? I use Windex and this works very well.
