Layer Shifting and Stringing?

Two questions from a new guy!

1) I had two layer shift problems with this print - the obvious one on the stomach and another on the base. What might be causing this? Any adjustments I can make?

2) I get some stringing/spikes (example on his pouches). I noticed this while the printer was picking up and moving to different spots. There would be little stringy spikes left behind. Should I try dropping the temp or mess with retraction?

Printing with PLA, 0.15mm layer height, PrusaSlicer 0.15 settings. 205 extruder temp, 63 bed temp.

Thanks in advance! And sorry, the pictures loaded in rotated and I couldn't figure out how to fix (even though they were upright on my computer)

RE: Layer Shifting and Stringing?

The bad layers look like under extrusion, not a shift.  Check idler tension and ensure your spool is free to rotate.

Idler tension can also explain larger than normal retract threads at seams.

Hi, I have a MK3S and I notice the same problem with the layers. How can I improve the quality of my prints and fix this issue? Hear the photo
