Isolation on the cables near the hotend.

Hi.

I just did assenble an extruder for my new MK3S+. I was thinking if the red isolation on the cables should be backed away from the metal elements of the hotend.

Thanks

No they are supposed to be there.

What isnt is the head of that cable tie.  Its critical that ALL cable ties are placed exactly as pictured in the manual.  Clearances on many of them are to within a mm and a wrongly positioned cable tie can cause problems with movement limits and calibration etc.

Can anyone send me a similar photo of their already used printer?

the lock on the cable tie should be touching the black cable tie holder right near where the tie goes into the holes in the holder.

This is, how it should look. Pic is from here: https://help.prusa3d.com/de/guide/wie-man-den-thermistor-im-extruder-austauscht-mk3s-mk3s_131675

As you can see, the cables are touching the heat block - no problem.
