Is this Normal ?
So... after 3 days of tweaking in order to get rid of an annoying rattling noise...
1) i removed the rubber feet
2) checked all screws
3) tightened belts... now X is on 280 ( it was 288 before) and Y is on 263 it was on 292 before.
4) tried to move all the parts per hand to see if i can replicate the noise..i couldnt.
Howerver i noticed this https://drive.google.com/file/d/1sxrQI3mekxxDOzEmySLQzcGyIAlIqbSU/view
Prusa Support says it is normal... but i find it weird that it does this more to the right side than the left side...
the printer has been printing perfectly ( i however have a slightly warped bed...i am getting a replacment...until the replacement comes i am using the mesh level correction in the frimaware...its works good)...
I have no idea where does this rattle comes from... definitly not PSU...it is similar to this noise:
it does it when printing lik ein this video, or when printing fast on corners or when the Z axis moves Downwards after Going all the way up in a calibration action...
Re: Is this Normal ?
If I seen the video correctly it looked like the lead screw was moving inside the nut. My newest MK3 unit is the same way. The backlash is terrible but when the weight of the upper gantry holds the nut down onto the lead screw threads the backlash is canceled out if the Z-axis bearings slide freely.

Re: Is this Normal ?
I got trapezoidal nuts replacement...and the new one is waaaay better...just a really really slight backlash in Z direction but this normal...i dont have the X/Y backlash anymore
Re: Is this Normal ?
Hi Christian,
I just realized that one of the trapezoidal nuts is not going as easy as the other one. You wrote that you got a replacement one. Did you write Prusa for that or how did you get it?
Thanks,
Torsten
