Initial Calibration failure
Hi,
my first auto test and calibrations have been said ok (orthognal and everything clear)
then, trying to print: always (not always, mash calibration seems ok and juste after wehen beginning print) get a "contact" between bed and hot end in the front right part of the bed.
So: i decided to load a new complete XYZ calibration:
but at beginning, when printer is looking for point n°1, after some seconds mooving, the head roughly hurts the bed: panic cut off the printer
tried again and same issue....
Someone can help ?
Thank's ! Jean-Marc

Drive the nozzle close to the print bed and first move the X-axis from one stop to the other and observe the distance between the nozzle and the print bed. Then the same with the Y axis. If there are big differences, you have to try to align the bed manually. It also has to be plane. You can check that with a ruler.

@karl-herbert
Hi Karl, thank's for your response.
I finally unscrewed (loosen) a part of the extrusion chassis (front/right extrusion) and obtain something regular.
Then go again for a total "new setting" and calibration.

The thing i don' like on this printer is the PINDA offset positionning: not much freee cable permit only one turn max and if you slide the thing in the printed part it's very diffcult to controll and gives too much movement at one time. Not easy to have something precise.
I finally have a good first PLA layer with, -0,15. That's ok.
But, i think i love this Prusa... coming from an early (= an old...) Dagoma Disco it's a revolution.
Best regards. Jean-Marc.

RE: Initial Calibration failure
I just tried the self test a few times. It said X axis length when it failed. Therefore, I also want to get one of these smaller pulleys. How did you order it? Thanks

@wdash
You mean this pulley? https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B071J86YFX/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
They are the smaller one with 16teeth. The larger one have 20teeth. https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B07LF7CJ8D/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
