Infill layers not touching the inner perimeter [MK3S]

Hey guys! Looking for some ideas here.. I'm printing this file, it's pretty thin. The left side has the infill layers not touching the edges. It should look like the right printed object.

Here's the issue:
  • I have 2x Prusas, one is MK3 and I just finished upgrading the other to the MK3s. The one with the issue is the MK3s.
  • MK3S (left) vs MK3 (right)

Not sure what is causing this, but here are the troubleshooting steps I've done so far:

Print specs:
  • 0.15mm layer height
  • 100% infill
  • PETG filament
  • Printed at 120% scale, no brim
  • PEI smooth steel sheet
  • 230C hot end
    85C print bed
  • Sliced with Prusa Slicer (latest version)

Environment:
  • I have 2x Prusas, one is MK3 and I just finished upgrading the other to the MK3s. The one with the issue is the MK3s
  • The MK3S firmware was flashed today to the latest version v3.8.1, all calibration etc worked perfectly, no errors / fails. The firmware is the correct MK3S firmware and not the MK3 firmware on this machine. My other MK3's firmware has not been upgraded but works fine.
Preferences:
  • Prefer to print using Pronterface since I need to be able to control the printer remotely (I'm not using Octoprint)
Troubleshooting already done:
  • I printed the same file (they were originally sliced for MK3 only using the oldschool Prusacontrol), works fine on my MK3.
  • Then I sliced the file again using Prusaslicer (latest current version) and the Mk3S profile -- same thing happens. I updated my user software to the latest version as of yesterday here https://www.prusa3d.com/drivers/
  • The GCODE looks correct in the preview but not sure why the infill first layer (and the rest of the layers) are still not touching the edges...
  • I tried switching out the filament to a brand new unopened package of PETG, the same thing happens.
  • (new) I tried printing from the SD card, the same thing happens.

I also tried to increase the inner perimeter from 2mm to 3mm to make a difference in the slicer... but still not working right

Ok I just fixed my issue. I figured it out.... It was the E3D sock. I added the sock on the hotend when it previously didn't have one.

This was the stuff I used: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07779TP4S/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1&fbclid=IwAR06gfugricASBGsev0h8r0YUkPVfhZH0K_tXijkU8RJPo23aZe1R_548Os

I removed it and it fixed the issue. My other printer has the same sock fitted on, but when I replaced that hotend a while back, it was a presassembled hotend with the sock secured on it with no issue:

I even cut the hole bigger and it still made no difference, the first layer calibration goes well but the print.. not so much

So this is what the 1st layer now looks like with the sock off..

I * could * adjust the Z layer height but I don't think this might make a huge difference... the distance already looks fine between the nozzle and the print bed... I don't have problems with PETG + PEI adhesion
