I need help

Ive been getting a lot of squeaking and clicking coming from the filament extruder gears and now what looks like oil or grease on the print bed and I'm sure on the print itself, which is probably giving me some printing issues. Anybody run into this before?

Squeaking: Make sure the rod in the extruder door is seated in both "ears" and has not worked its way loose from one side or the other.

Bed: Wash it with dish detergent (no lotions/additives for skin etc) and warm water, dry well and then clean with IPA. Don't touch unless you absolutely have to, and wear a glove when cleaning it as the IPA can and will actually leach oil from your skin and spread it on the bed if you're not careful.

What filament have you been printing your f*cktopus in? When I print with a Rigid.Ink natural PLA it is so squeaky but the prints come out perfect. No change to the printer and Prusament Galaxy Black prints silently.

That mess on the bed couldn't have come from the extruder unless you added your own oil to the moving parts.

Re: I need help

Again I have seen on here and the Facebook group that the stock grey filament is squeaky. I haven't printed much with the Grey my kit with, and I'm yet to print a 8 tentacled friend on my Prusa. Last was on my Ender 3.

Stringing can be mitigated with the retraction speed and distance. Are you using the latest Prusa PLA profiles in Slic3r?
