How do remove festo from PTFE tube?

Ok... I know that sounds like a stupid question... but I just assembled my mmu2s, and like so many others, I'm pulling my hair out to get this thing to work. One thing I noticed is that the filament sometimes won't load into the extruder because there is a snag at the bowden tube as it transitions into the festo coupling.  I wanted to pull it off and reset it -- but it seems that "no force in the 'verse" can do this...

I've tried pulling on the blue collar, i've tried compressing the blue collar, I've tried screwing, unscrewing etc. etc.  I've used hand strength, I've used pliers... I cannot get the things apart.  It seems to be clearly malfunctioning... but if someone can tell me the PROPER way of doing this, at least it will save me some time here.

Thanks!

Wow, this must either be a really stupid question, or an impossible task... I'm surprised that I've had no response.

If you pulled the PTFE without pushing the collar the locking mechanism probably ate into the PTFE. You need to push the collar in together with the PTFE and then hold down the pushed in collar and pull out the PTFE.

If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you.
Find out why this is pinned in the general section!
