First time assembling i3MK3, I suspect EINSY board is faulty
I can't do a successful calibration because my Z-motors keep screwing up. First time I tried to calibrate, the right motor would move about a half-inch higher then the left, I'd hear a nasty grinding noise and calibration would fail.
I tried swapping the Z-motor cords to the opposite ports on the EINSY board. And suddenly the left motor is the one that's going higher. As far as I can tell this means that both motors and motor-cords are operating normally. But the Board itself is bad.....or at least.....a single Z-motor-input-port is bad.
Of course I've never built a printer before, maybe I have bad firmware or something idk.
Re: First time assembling i3MK3, I suspect EINSY board is faulty
Have a very close look at the two Z-Axis connectors on the board with a magnifying glass. See if all the pins are showing, one is bent, etc.
I could be very wrong here, but I'm under the impression both Z-Axis motors are driven by the same controller circuitry, with connectors wired in parallel. Thus most likely a pin got smashed.
