First print defect

Hello! My first print with my new Mk3 went very well except for a defect at the front as seen in the photos. I was told by support this was probably caused by the hotend fan during print, and that I should try to reorient and reprint to avoid happening again. I am weary about settling on this solution as it means the issue will most likely happen again with a different print if it happened this easily on benchy. Does this appear to be my issue, and are there any solutions such as a modified fan duct ect or is this just one of the experienced based aspects of 3d printing that I need to learn? Thanks in advance!

Re: First print defect

Hi Brett
looks like your Live Z is a touch high, won't fix your bows though...

for the benchy, was your part cooling fan running full speed? settings fan 255

if not try raising the value to 255 and see what happens!

folk try different fan nozzles to create better cooling

or have a look and choose your own...

Excellent suggestions...thank you so much! I believe adjusting the Z has already made a big difference. This community is amazing here.
