First layer print fail time and time again, cleaned, cold-pulled, new PLA...
- Ran the print config wizard, no errors
- Brand new Prusament PLA
- Cleaned the sheet
- Adjusted the belt tensions
- Cold-pull cleaned
- Cleaned the nozzle
- Recently upgraded to most recent firmware
Can't seem to get a clean first layer. Either the filament doesn't stick or it blobs on the nozzle or both. Also looks like the filament adheres on the x but not so much on the y. Any help would be greatly appreciated

whats really confusing is that this printed almost perfectly. I didn’t change anything after that failed first layer print :/

Clean bed a few times with dish soap.
Calibrate your first layer.
Extra and normally not needed:
First layer, more heat in the extruder 10 degrees.
First layer slower, 10 mm
bed hotter.
And of course test with different filament, could be a bad roll of filament.

Z should be adjusted during first layer calibration to -1.3 to -1.8 range depending on the height of your PIN sensor. During the first layer calibration. See YouTube and Prusa tutorial videos.

Your first layer Z calibration number can vary quite a bit and there's no "right" range. As long as the PINDA probe isn't too high causing your nozzle to scrape your heat bed during calibration or too low hitting your parts when you print you can be anywhere in between.
All three of mine are somewhere around -.8 to -.9 and have worked great the last 3 years.

Z -height depends on your PINDA setting.I set the bed sensor about 1 mm higher than the nozzle. I run at a Z= -1.395 to -1.6 and water dissolving BiC stick glue to glue everything down. You put it on when the bed is hot. To remove the part I put the bed in hot water, part comes off in about 1 hr. Wash the bed in hot water so there are no detergent or soap chemicals on the bed. Most of what I am doing is about Z = 5-10 mm part height so gluing stops warping as well.
