Re: First layer issues? Look here!

so are they going to carry on with LA V1 or going to use the V1.5, I know some people are getting some great results with V1.5 on other REPRAP machine using it?

I'm no expert but could the LA V1.5 Code be brought into the PRUSA branch for another "Custom" Firmware?

Yes, the author of the v1.5 code in marlin has already done so: https://github.com/prusa3d/Prusa-Firmware/pull/504

Nice!! So has it been merged (if that’s the right term) in Prusa firmware?
I’m still getting to grips with git hub lol

No, it's still marked 'open'

Hey guys,

Seeing a lot of people repeatedly calibrating PINDA, temp, etc trying to get that first layer to work. Just wanted to point out a bug found by stahlfabrik a few hours ago: https://github.com/prusa3d/Prusa-Firmware/pull/514

I'm about to start testing this myself, and figured some of you might like to help. Here's two versions of this firmware with the mesh leveling "fix" above applied. Please go update the pull request with your results so we can get this pushed in quickly:

3.1.2-mesh-fix-testing-no-LA.zip
3.1.2-mesh-fix-testing-with-LA.zip

Before anyone asks, Linear Advance has no bearing on this that I am aware of and should only be used by sdcard users that understand the issues behind it being enabled.

Hopefully this works and can hold us over until an official fix. 🙂

Can this be updated to version 3.1.3?

Re: First layer issues? Look here!

This has surely been posted elsewhere, however, just for info since I started printing all my prints PLA and PETG at 50% speed, I have not yet had a failed print, no need to clean the PEI sheet with anything, no glue or anything needed, everything works great, Live Z setting is -395 however that may vary for others, if the print is only a few hours, and a little complex, I leave it at 50%, if it is a long print, I let it print about 2 or 3 layers at 50% then bump it up to 100% and just total joy. 😛 😛 😛 😛
