Filament not going in, new printer
Hello, I finished building my printer yesterday, but I can't get the filament in.
I'm preheating it to the PLA setting, but, when it tries to go in, it won't catch nor will it go through the extruder. I have attached a video of it along with a photo of the tip of the filament.
Any help is greatly appreciated!

You've set the tension screw way too tight.
Go back, read the assembly guide and handbook that came with the printer and try again ...

More like a couple dozen turns - his video shows it clamped tight. But then Prusa ranks this part of the build as

Looks like you forgot the spring on that tension screw. Or you did install the spring and compressed it completely.

@baklin
From everyone else's comments, it looks like I way overtightened the screw. However, even when i unscrewed it still didn't work, so i guess i'll have to take it apart and hope that i messed something up in there

Both tightening the idler and leaving the spring out will result in failure. We have all made mistakes. Please let us know if you need more help.

Similar problem, except the printer will not even try to grab the filament. Auto load is on but nothing happens. This is a brand new printer. disappointed to say the least!

After fiddling around with mine for a while, i seem to be having the same issue as you. It heats up, and insert the filament, and i can see the gears turning, but no filament is moving. I'm not sure what else i can do except try and different filament perhaps
