Extruder Motor movement Question
After spending 7 hours building my MK3 i3 printer, my calibration test fails immediately. Checked cable ties and they don't seem to any trouble. Doesn't seem to be a problem with self test moving the extruder left-right. Moving my extruder manually left-right takes a bit of force. Is this normal? Is there a YouTube vid anyone recommend where I can see someone posting how freely extruder moves by hand?
Re: Extruder Motor movement Question
When the belt is not mounted, X and Y-axis move as you lean the printer.
With the belt mounted, it's only the resistance of the motor that brakes, but that power is not particularly big. You can easily move X and Y-axis with one finger.
If it is very sluggish, check that the X and Y axis end pulley run freely.
