Yes, wasted two days to do meaningless calibrations with a bent SPINDA using the suggested zip tie method. At first I thought it might be OK to use it as I wanted to get the printer running after all these crazy long wait. Bent tip means the base surface is not parallel to the heat bed/sheet and caused calibration errors.

On i3MK3S, I switched between smooth and textured sheets without doing re-calibration.
I don't know how my SPINDA is bent out of the box. Did all of you receive the upgrade kit in a typical Prusa cartoon box as shown in the first two photos:

Mine is just a blank old brown box with a small label stating that it is an upgrade kit. It is like they ran out of carton box and just put everything in any box they found and put a label on it.
My upgrade kit came as shown in the first picture, and taking a look at the SuperPINDA, it is straight.
The purpose of the zip tie procedure is to ensure the SuperPINDA sits higher than the tip of the nozzle, otherwise it would collide with the printing object.
I plan to do the upgrade today due to an unscheduled clog in the hotend that has forced me to tear it apart. While it is in pieces, I might as well bite the bullet and do it. Thankfully, I printed all the upgrade parts before the clog. My understanding is the SuperPINDA is more sensitive than the one that came with my MK3S and its accuracy is less susceptible to temperature changes so no thermistor for temperature compensation is in this new one. I am not expecting the live Z numbers to be drastically different than what I had before after I do the calibrations and first layer tests. I will be targeting for the -1.5 ish area for numbers by adjusting the height of the SuperPINDA accordingly.
On a side note, the live Z for smooth PEI and textured sheets should be different. If the values are the same, one of the sheets might suffer poor first layer and possibly adhesion.

My box is completely brown with nothing about prusa written on it. They just put a label on that box and shipped it to me.
What is bad having Z lower than, say -2?
I don't know if the reason I needed something thicker than a zip tie is that my SPINDA is bent.
Does the smooth PEI sheet need more negative Z?

The textured sheet is thinner so requires more negative live z

For this reason you can comfortably use different 8 Sheets. I have half of them calibrated for smooth and second half for textured ' category'
Within each category I have then split between different filament types like PLA, PETG etc.
So before printing I select the corresponding (sometimes I forget and then it is a disaster 🤣 )sheet, and that's all.
