Defective Z Axis Right Motor?

So i've been assembling my I3 MK3 and everything was going fine until I got to part 4 step 8. When trying to screw the trapezoidal lead screws through the trapezoidal nuts I can't on the right side because I can only rotate the motor clockwise, so the screw cannot go through the thread. The stepper appears to have already locked before Ive given any power to it. So is this fixable? or will it require me to get a completely new motor?

Perchance did you overtighten the plastic covering "cap" down at the motor?

I don't think so. I originally thought that when I tried to put it on but Ive taken off the plastic cap and the issue is still there.
