Clothed hotend

Hello

My printer blocked while using PLA and I followed the procedure from here: https://help.prusa3d.com/article/WWVRzOY1dX-clogged-hotend

I can see that the fillament is stuck in the PTFE tube so I followed instructions from here https://manual.prusa3d.com/Guide/How+to+replace+PTFE+tube+on+the+MK3S-MK2.5S-MMU2S/1418

until I got to the step 5 where is a warning: "Before you move any parts, make sure there is enough slack in the extruder motor cable!!!"

I don't have enough slack to remove the hotend , what do I do now?

You might try heating the hot end up to 230c, then use a piece if filament or a long metal rod (1.5 mm) to push down on the old filament to get the fragment to extrude.  You can try from the open idler door if using filament; or use the rod from  the top down through the filament sensor.

You can also remove the nozzle (use the E3D-V6 nozzle change procedure from their website) and heat the heater block up to 150c, and this makes pushing the old filament out easier.  Once the old filament is out, replace the nozzle per the instructions and you should be running again.

A photo of the "jam" would also help. And any info about what was happening when it happened.

What type / model printer do you have? MK3 or MK3S ??  That said, you'll need to undress the cable harness to get some slack.
