Can't remove attached cable from motherboard....

Setting up my new Prusa MK3S+.

Final cables attached to the motherboard and.... I plugged the heatbed thermistor into the power panic hole.  No big deal, right?  Well, they must not be the exact same connections because I can't remove it now.  It has the lever lock mechanism but pushing the little lever does nothing.  I don't want to force it more than I have at the risk of damaging the motherboard.

Anyone know a trick to get these plugs out when they are finicky?  I'm so close to the finish line here.... Thanks in advance.

The bottom or lever can be problematic.  I have had to push mine with a pair of tweezers.

There must be a trick to this

I decided to unplug everything to give me a better angle on the problematic plug.  However, a second one won't budge now.  There should be a trick to doing this.  I'll keep searching.  I've tried tweezing and everything else I can think of.

Allen

If the tweezers do nto work, try an Allen wrench.

RE:

I'm having the same issue and the clip now broke, and I'm afraid if I keep trying to remove it my cable will break or be frayed. Is the hotend thermistor being next to the heatbed thermistor a bad thing or can I use my printer without there being the gap as displayed in step 38? I tried tweezers, an alan wrench, everything and all I have now is a broken clip and probably a frayed cable but I'm really hoping that's not the case.

Was able to pop it off using some pliers, cable wasn't damaged but part of the clip for the motherboard part broke off. But given that it's an unused slot.... I'll take it lol. Printer is calibrating now, but crisis averted.

More force is not the solution.  It is the right force in the right direction.

Having the same problem, can't get the connector out from the motherboard. It is specifically the 2-pins one. This is terrible design, it should NOT be this difficult to take the connectors out. Why can't it just be the standard JST XH2.54 everyone else uses instead of this POS

Try using a small flathead screwdriver to gently pry the plug out while holding down the lever lock. Be careful not to apply too much force to avoid damaging the motherboard. Good luck!

agreed, this is an awful connector. super easy to break and you're screwed if it does.
