Calibration Failed (Check Axes) at start of calibration after build

Hello all.

Just finished assembling a new MK3 and have a persistent error.

I start "xyz calibration, this will take 12 minutes".

The printer then auto homes the 3 axis, ending with the X carriage right at the top of the Z axis. The steppers both click for a few seconds.

After confirming the nozzle is clean and the steel sheet is not in place, I click to continue and the X axis moves down a fraction - perhaps 1mm - before immediately showing the error

"Calibration failed! Check the axes and run again."

I have done a fair bit of reading and testing/trying solutions already -

I have checked no cable is to tight or pulling at the top of the travel.
I have checked the belt tension is between 260 and 280
I have checked both trapezoid nuts, when separated from the carriage, can freely spin up and down.
I have checked nothing is obstructing the movement of the axis.
I have updated to the latest firmware.

When I use the "move z axis" control, it says it is at around +7 when it is right at the top, and moving it to zero means it is still nearly at the top and will not go any lower.

At this point I have run out of ideas and do not know what to try next. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Here is a small video showing the error process. my Mk2 is running in the background, sorry for the distraction.

Thanks everyone

I suspect your PINDA probe is either defective, or plugged in wrong.

There is a red led inside the probe, you can see it looking down on the extruder, through the clear potting in the probe. It is normally ON.

Use a screwdriver and as you watch the LED, move the metal tip up towards the probe -- the LED should change from on to off. If it is already off, check the wires and position of the probe (if too high the screw holding the PINDA may affect it).

Try ,
calibration of de z axis,
in the menu on the printer, choose calibration, and then choose z calibration.

Then the printer should go up, hit the top several times, then go down.

(prusa has a film/manual what to do if yoy firts have your printer, follow this very precise).

I have exactly the same problem
The probe is functional
I have again check the height of the probe
Calibration xyz echou
Calibration z echou
It does the calibration x and y
Except the z in the same place as your video
I see no solution
I find that the calibration of the Z of Prusa too capricious
It should fix the problem in a software fix.
