Brand new factory assembled mk3s+. Z axis much too high, nozzle doesn't touch the bed at all
Hi everyone, just received a brand new printer and ran through wizard and calibrations. No matter what I do, it's very clear that the nozzle isn't making any contact with the bed at all. Is there some setup that I missed?

Not touching is not a bad thing.

Did you do the first layer calibration?

Time to start reading
Open the book that came with the printer - page 1. Start reading ... 🙂 You'll need to learn to calibrate the bed from scratch - even though you bought an assembled printer, things will still need to be maintained. Nothing is like a toaster where you just add bread and push a button to get toast. 3D printing is very much an art with a steep learning curve. It's a lot of fun. But start in the book.

Hi everyone, thanks for the helpful advice! I ran through the first layer calibration and got the nozzle to the right height at about -1.740. Seems to be working fine now!
Indeed, this is just my second printer. I graduated from an Anycubic Vyper, which has automatic bed leveling. You basically run it one time and it was good to go. I didn't find it so reliable though in quality, so I moved over to the Prusa. A bit more involved to get it set up, but quality is great so far! Thanks everyone!
