Bad printing quality only on the other side of the part?

Hello!

I've just started my printing career with Prusa MK3, ready assembled printer.

I've managed to print a few parts with no problem, some of which came with the printer and some that what I've modeled myself.

Now I'm trying to print adjustable supports with threads, but for some reason printing quality is good only on the other side of the part (see the picture below). The radius of the thread doesn't print correctly on the back side.

I've cleaned the sheet carefully and I've also done selftest, first layer calibration and XYZ calibration again, and everything seems to be ok. Do you have an idea that what might cause this kind of an issue?

Many thanks.

I don't have a flashy mk3 (partly because I'm over the moon with the quality of my water-cooled mk2s enclosed in the heated chamber ) but I run into similar problem a while ago. I was printing tiny gears (10mm diameter and modulus 0.5) for my research and one side came out spot on while the other barely had any teeth. Despite the fact that I have an ambient temperature of 60deg inside while printing ASA or Nylon, the problem was a direct result of uneven part cooling. The fan shroud I had installed was blowing mainly from the front and slightly from the sides. When I swapped the part cooling fan shroud to https://www.thingiverse.com/make:363410
and tweaked the cooling settings, I got some amazing results. A huge difference 🙂

Thanks for the advice! That makes sense, I'll order some HT filament now and print the new cooling fan shroud. Hopefully this will fix the problem. I'll post later if it worked or not.
