XYZ calibration ok. X/Y axes are perpendicular. Congratulations!

and no problems with calibration but I am a delta printer user with no exp. with Cartesian printers.
Default first layer went ok though I had to go to -1.850 (the instructions now say up to -2 is acceptable)

I think the live z needs to be a bit lower but I am more concerned with what looks like a layer shift and the roughness of the top layer
all belts tuned to A 220 hertz that’s below middle C and what I call a low note belt pulleys are tight to the stepper shafts
3.3.1 -845 for the firmware. could the slightly old firm ware cause the layer shift?I held off on the update after seeing the problems mentioned with 3.4.0 with the filament sensor on places like facebook
please can you tell me where I am screwing up?

you should be able to drag and drop an image from your pc.
and you should be able just to move your pinda to get lower Z offset numbers. move it up if memory serves. (the whole up is down thing confuses me like zathras)

Well drag with and without the img and URL tags does not work... I can paste in images from other websites I think I used to do the same with images from my dropbox public folder but that does not work either I just tried some images from google and they too don't work for me I know it is something simple but I just can't seem to get my own images up in these posts.... My avatar was a snap I just selected it from its folder and checked its size... but that and the images I got from others websites seems to be it for me.
I will try to describe what I see on the bottle opener g file the fill is not getting out to the walls which are about 2mm away from the core in the x direction only the bottom is an acceptable first layer but it does not reach the walls on the sides the wall on the power supply side looks darn near perfect it is just 2mm away from the first layer in that area. the wall on the controller side of the face is not too fare away from the infill perhaps 1mm but the wall layers in that spot from his chin to his glasses looks like un bonded layers
I have never seen anything like this on my delta.... other problems yes but not these
with luck some one will hold my hand so I can post the images

below the box where you type your post should show an attachments tab which you can navigate to upload your pictures.
after it is added you click place inline box to get it in the post.

i think it "might" be possible the Gcode might not like the newest firmware. maybe try making new ones from scratch. (very small possibility) they are all the default gcode right?

yes straight default g Code off the SD card I need to mess with the idler tension tomorrow and perhaps fiddle with the X-axis I might have it too tight I guess

Ok there was a crack in the plastic of the X stepper mount that I fixed overnight with epoxy printing the
PLA_S3D_calibration_surface_75x75mm@200um_v6.1.gcode coupons and it looks like I need to Raise the Pinda a bit unless something so close to -2.00 is really ok
getting separate strings at - 1.800 at 0.37 thick and a nice smooth 0.25 coupon
This is the best of this series but later testing at - 1.880 and - 1890 were too high see omg below
at - 1.950 and at - - 2.100 and - 2.200 are too close rough top surface and 0.50 thick or so
at -2.000 still too close rough surface and 0.43 thick -1.900 nice and smooth with one blemish in the corner so still a touch close and 0.26 thicker the whole area.
- - 1.890 .26in lower front but separate strings at .31 and .32 in upper right and - 1.880 both look ok and are smooth hard to see the change at mid coupon but -1,880 it is also in separate strings at upper left and over more of its diagonal
this coupon will hit the new T shape spool holder when it goes to the Top of Z axis at the end of the print so I have to hit the reset button to stop it

the calibration square is only one layer high on the bed, unless you are referencing something else ...
It seems that your Z level is still too high. those pictures are very magnified and it is hard to see, but I know I do not have distinct lines when I have a good first layer. It should be flat and smooth like one single piece of plastic from the layers being correctly squished together.
You should look at the first two pages (or all 43 pages in the thread) of the "Life Z Adjust my way" a couple of posts below in this section for reference pictures of good first layer z height.
As to your pinda height, the number is just a number. Mine is closer to <2.000> than 0 and whether the number is (0.300) or (1.200) does not mean anything as long as you get good prints. If you get close to <2.000> value you can loosen the screw holding the pinda and move it (physically move it) up towards the extruder a small bit and then re tighten the pinda screw (see the assembly instructions on how to properly do this) and redo your live z value and start over. if you move the pinda physically higher it will move the nozzle closer to the bed so you have to zero out your z value before printing again to ensure your nozzle does not dig into the bed.
