Advancing filament when reloading
After I unload a filament, I want to put in the new one. Unloading is not an issue.
Using the PREHEAT and LOAD menu commands that should be a no-brainer.
After the extruder grabs the initial filament feed, the LCD will ask me if the correct filament color is showing. I find it takes 2 maybe 3 tries before the new color comes thru cleanly.
The initial feed is fine, but when I respond "NO" to the LCD prompt, nothing happens. On my 2S the extruder would feed a bit more filament and ask again. This would work properly to get the new filament into position. But on my new 3S, there is no further advancement of filament. The LCD prompt re-appears almost immediately asking again if the color is correct, but there has been no activity in the extruder. I can do this a repeatedly with no change in result.
I end up going to 'Settings' and using the menu, get the extruder to send thru more filament until I am happy. Why won't the LOAD feature advance?
I have tried this with AUTOLOAD turned off and on, with the same non-functioning result.
The extruder has been pre-heated and there is no mechanical indication (sound or vibration) showing the extruder is even trying to push thru the filament.
