Can you restart a print after the bed heat has been turned off?
I run multi-day prints and often wake up to discover some issue (e.g. collision detection, out of filament) has caused the print to stop, and after 30 minutes of activity the bed heat is disabled. I can tape the brim down so the print has not moved but I don't know if the print can be restarted. Has anyone done this?
Once the print has released from the print sheet, for all practical purposes, no. Even if taped down the release will have caused a slight Z lift and that will increase the chance of a head crash and consequent layer shift.
If you get to it in time then reheat and carry on - if the print errors permit.
Cheerio,

I'm not sure why it would do this. If you have a print error that causes the other to stop only the extruder cools off, the bed should stay on. I've had prints sitting for hours waiting for me with the heat bed on.
Any idea how long your prints are sitting before you come back?
