What to do with the old parts?
So I'm going to be doing the 3.9 upgrade (when it ships...) but I'm left wondering to myself, what am I going to do with the old MK3S parts that I will have. I've built a Bear 2.0 MK2.5s, but that's a 12-volt system and I do not want to buy a whole new heatbed and power supply... What else can an einsy rambo be used for? should I build a CNC with it?
RE: What to do with the old parts?
Maybe a PET bottle filament extruder?
The real question is, where do you need some automation, and can these parts be used for that 😉
RE: What to do with the old parts?
I ended up buying all the parts needed to upgrade my Bear to a 2.1 MK3S+... so now I have a bunch of old MK2.5S stuff. but that's old enough I don't mind it sitting in the drawer until the apocalypse.

It's awesome that you're diving into the 3.9 upgrade for your MK3S! As for those old MK3S parts, there's a world of possibilities beyond your Bear 2.0 MK2.5s.
One interesting idea is repurposing the Einsy Rambo for a CNC project. With a bit of creativity and tinkering, you can transform it into a controller for a CNC machine. This way, you get to explore a new dimension of making cool stuff!
Of course, the exact details will depend on the specifications and compatibility of the Einsy Rambo, but it's definitely a fun and practical way to extend the life of your old parts. Happy crafting!

I now have so many wonderfully horrible spin off ideas from this … good thing I don’t have spares to test on
