MK3.5 Upgrade Kit

It says they plan to start shipping in June.  I hope this is an error.

RE: MK3.5 Upgrade Kit

How about those of us who have purchased a upgrade getting the models for any parts we need to build prior to our upgrade? We will need to build them before we tear the printer apart for the upgrade. We have given our money in good faith and the parts are only going to fit what we have and are going to need.

RE: MK3.5 Upgrade Kit

the upgrade STL files to print the PR IV upgrade have been published.

https://www.printables.com/model/451501-mk4-printable-parts

In the past, they often sold the upgrade printable parts kits sometime after full production has started.

RE: MK3.5 Upgrade Kit

It appears they have software issues with the MK4. They most likely want to work them out. I am wanting the parts list for the 3.5 upgrade that I have purchased. They are not yet available.

RE:

There are s/w issues with the MK 4; and always will be because of upgrades, and other fun things. I expect a bit more issues than what ever is considered normal for the old MK 3, because the core hardware is new, and some required tweakages to support the new hybrid versions of 3.5 & 3.9 & almost 4.0.  I expect some issues when working with the slicer on how some of the default settings will have to be updated to get good performance out of the printer.

Now what I would like a detailed list of what is just included in each kit level.  I have one order for a new Mk 4 kit; and a upgrade from MK 3 to MK 4.   I even have a MK IIS upgrade to a odd ball 2.5 using that other "frame" when I rebuild that hardware. The only real worry I have is about any part that I need to print that PETG won't work with.   I just placed a one spool order for some ASA on the off chance that part will not be included in the full upgrade kit.

One of the very good reasons for me to do the full upgrade was to have a good set of spare parts for the MK 3s+ I own that I will not upgrade.

RE: MK3.5 Upgrade Kit

I guess if I really need to print changed parts and my “new” MK3.5 isn’t working, I’ll just have to print them on one of the other MK3’s or my Mini. I was just wanting to get them printed well before the rest of the kit came from Prusa. I usually print stuff for my printers a bit finer than they suggest or do in their factory.

RE: MK3.5 Upgrade Kit

I had a full post on parts are parts for the 3.5 but took a power hit...My pure guess will be the XLCD & and maybe some items for the buddy board. So with that fine hardware you have it should not be too many items.

https://www.prusa3d.com/product/original-prusa-i3-mk3-s-to-mk3-5-upgrade-kit/

those parts can be found on printable.  I did not see a parts set for the 3.5, and the 3.9 should almost be 100% the same as the core parts for 4.0

RE: MK3.5 Upgrade Kit

After the production of MK4 upgrades started, we discovered that some of the old revisions of the MK3 are not fully compatible with the upgrade. We already have a solution, but we need some time to implement it in production. Until then, we are shipping the upgrade only to customers who own (according to our database) a compatible printer.

To avoid potential confusion, we decided to temporarily remove the shipping table from this article until we will be able to ship MK4 upgrades to everybody.

so upgrading my mk3 to mk3s+ should negate that surely there is nothing else to up grade to fit the 3.5 kit

RE:

prusa already said that the 3.5 kit will not work with a mk3 so that's why me and all my friends upgraded to mk3s+so he is delaying shipping because those of us that have mk3 will have to wait should have asked those of us that have upgraded this is bovine dung

RE:

This has been discussed.  It is more complicated than "upgrading".  Some of the kept parts on the MK3 might be the cause of the problem.  For example, the PSU.
