Y-Axis skipping

My MK2 has been printing great and then today I had horrible Y-Axis skipping and generally really bad prints. Checked the belt and it had become horribly loose. Flipped the printer over and there was my problem, the Y-axis belt holder had come loose.

I remember when building I thought the screws seemed too short and it looks like I was correct. Replaced them with m3x16 and tightened the belt. All working great again and as an added benefit the rattle from rapid changes in direction has completely gone away.

Richard

Thanks for the info. I haven't had this issue (yet) but I will keep and eye on it.

Re: Y-Axis skipping

Got same problem, and fixed with @richard.l solution: longer screws. I added a comment on the assembly instruction regarding this issue: http://manual.prusa3d.com/Guide/3.+X-axis+assembly/105#s1576
