Re: Worn extruder hobbed pulley
Can't disagree on that. Which is why I use only my cheapest Torx bits for that sort of workaround, only when my hex bits "skip" despite being the right size. 😕
The screwdriver is the easy thing to replace. The stripped out set screw on the other hand..
Re: Worn extruder hobbed pulley
Yikes necropost! But for a good cause.
I came acrossthese things on Aliexpress1-2 months ago and ordered a few out of curiosity. They arrived today and at first glance they appear the same size. I will have to do a side-by-side comparison and some measurements with a sliderule when I get home.
On the off chance they're the same size, they'd be inexpensive spares. If not, one can always adjust the extrusion multiplier.
Re: Worn extruder hobbed pulley
Unfortunately, they're not the same dimensions: in the original pulley I measure a diameter of ~6.40mm at the teeth. On the ones I found, the diameter at the teeth is ~7.25mm. So they're not quite a drop-in replacement, but would require some adjustments.
