Which cable mesh would work best?
Hello,
I want to order some cable mesh for the cables as I am not a fan of the wrap that comes with the kit (personal preference). I was looking on amazon for some alternatives and would like to know if anyone has already done this and which size would be recommended?

Did you figure this out? My printer is shipping and I was going to go with mesh as well. 1/2 inch seems to be the largest but I have no idea if that is big enough.
Re: Which cable mesh would work best?
just remember that with this wrap you will need to push any connectors down it
if you need to replace one of the wires these can be a pain
maybe worth looking at the side entry version by techflex or electriduct
a little more expensive but a lot more convenient.
let us know how it goes with whichever system you pick.
with the standard wrap i tend to cut 4 in sections and leave a gap between, this way you are not removing the whole length at one time
or you could learn the old art of lacing cables - similar to aircraft wiring. it can look very neat done properly.
don't forget to tie down the bunch of cables at both ends to stop the stress on the solder joints or connector joints.

Or you could try the black split wire loom (like electriduct) that you see on cars, for example. You just split in and fit it over. Not sure what size, the link below is for 1/2" diameter, which I think would work, but may be a little loose.
Having done lacing as Phil suggested, on aircraft, this is the stuff you would want to use. There is an art to using it, but it does look nice when done correctly.

Re: Which cable mesh would work best?
Honestly after getting the kit and assembling it, I decided to go completely stock and true with the kit. (except that horrible spool holder)
