It really is very quiet...

I would guess that the beta-testers are not doing their best to find issues with this. I would also imagine that they have some sort of non-disclosure agreement...

Anyone out there have an idea about what is happening?

Not sure what I'm allowed to say and not, but the Beta testers will receive their units anytime soon!
And I'm sure that they are (I can only speak for myself) excited to start test the hell out of this upgrade, to bring as much good feedback as possible to Prusa Research!

I guess there are four possible scenarios:

1. I didn't apply to be a beta tester
2. I applied and have been rejected
3. I applied and have been confirmed as a tester
4. I applied and have heard nothing.

I'm interested in how the multi-extrusion upgrade plays with the water-dissolvable filament e3D launched. This seems like an excellent use-case.

This is an exciting development in 3D printing, especially at this level. If I am fortunate enough to be involved then I will be very happy and pleased to be able to help and I guess this is the same with all potential beta testers.

Whatever the case, I am certain that 4-colour printing will soon be overtaken with even more exciting upgrades. I remember the development of regular printers from train/chain, dot matrix and then colour dot matrix, laser and inkjet. Also very exciting...

@Johnny - Yes that is one of the uses of the multi-filament upgrade, although I have personally never found the need for soluble supports - I find it easy enough to peel off the supports generated by KISS.

I've already ordered a spool of eSun PVA (water dissolvable), so that will be my first test for sure, printing this again! (hopefully minus the 2 hour cleanup)
